Our Mission
We pride ourselves in expanding the definition of a ‘Garden Club’ to include not only beautifying our town and schools, but providing environmental education, and most importantly, sponsoring scholarship opportunities for the next generation of gardeners and environmentalists.
We partner with our town, schools, businesses and other organizations to benefit the whole of our community.
With memberships dues, donations, and our fundraising we will continue to enrich our surroundings.

Heidi Wlosek founded the USR GC as a reflection of her interest in growing the USR community from our kids to our seniors. Heidi championed the creation of Sunshine Projects and tirelessly worked to grow membership in establishing what the USR Garden Club is today.

Felice Bernard served as VP and co-President from 2021 through 2025 during which time she established programs for USR schools including reclamation drives for crayons, sneakers, and lunch waster to compost. As her legacy the USR GC continues to work in schools during Green Week and in whatever capacity is needed. Felice is also an amazingly organized and tech savvy leader who established the GC's internal operational framework.
